Jane & Neil: A little more us
Meet Jane and Neil, who recently found their place to call home here in Australia. Originally from the UK, they moved over with their two kids, eager to settle and embrace a new lifestyle. While wandering through display homes, imagining what their life here could look like, they met a Celebration Homes consultant, and something just clicked.
From the UK to a New Beginning
For Jane and Neil, building a home in Australia marked the start of a new chapter, not just in location, but in lifestyle. Back in the UK, the couple had built before, but never like this. They felt the process in Australia was refreshingly different.

With their eyes on a fresh start, they wanted a home that suited their lifestyle, stayed within budget, and came together without unnecessary stress. When Jane and Neil stepped into Home Collective, they were impressed by the experience. Compared to the UK, where a couple of tile samples in a garage were the norm, Home Collective was in no comparison.

It was completely different to their past experiences, Jane & Neil walked through full kitchen, and bathroom displays comparing cabinetry to tapware and everything in between, they got hands-on and involved, with experts guiding them the whole way. It felt like more than ticking boxes, it felt like designing a home that was completely them.

When it came to decision making, Jane and Neil brought different strengths to the table. Jane liked to sit with ideas and come back with thoughtful questions, while Neil was more decisive from the get-go, with a clear vision of what he wanted.
“If I’m honest, I was probably the fussy one.”

Site visits with our team, was an exciting part of their building journey seeing each milestone of their home brought to life. Even through those typical nerves that pop up during a build, their experience felt positive. Unlike in the UK, Jane and Neil felt the team’s open communication, clear information and support made them feel right at ease.
Jane especially appreciated Building Hub, where every document, update and selection was stored so if they ever needed to go back and look for an item, they can find it in the one place.
