If you're after some inspiration, look no further! Pauline Armstrong-Sebbes of Kanvas Art shares her top tips for choosing pictures and art for your walls.
First rule of thumb here - don't be frightened. Art can be chosen to blend into an existing room colour, to start a whole new colour dimension, or to act as a complete contrast to what is already in the room. There are several schools of thought on what height art should be hung at. Many options work, though varying the height based on what else is happening in the room makes sense.
Choose your art with the size of the room in consideration and choose larger pieces for large walls and smaller pieces for narrow walls. Lighting above artwork can add variety and interest to your overall decorating outcome.

Pictures grouped in a coordinated fashion can make a very striking feature. The best way to find a fit is to experiment, and generally the grouping should appear as one.

From the Celebration Homes Kitchen, Sales and Marketing Manager Anthony Staltari shares his latest recipe.

Chicken Cacciatore

Serves: 4 Ready in: 60 minutes (15 mins prep - 45 minutes cooking time)

Ingredients:
  • 1kg Chicken drumsticks and thighs (skin removed)
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 red capsicum - cut into 5mm strips
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 800g good quality crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil - torn into pieces
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 1/2 tspn cracked black pepper
  • 1 cup of red wine (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Method:
  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan, add onions and garlic, and cook until soft.
  2. Add capsicum strips and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and cook covered on medium heat for approximately 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add water if necessary.
  5. Serve with pasta and salad.
